Stuff

OK, this is linear stuff. Weekend warrior stuff equals blog updates. Hence, I was on my bike yesterday, in an event. It was the PKNS Bernam Jaya Mountain Bike Jamboree. Without proper preparation, it was regrets upon regrets.

The wet season provides tonnes of soggy and sticky stuff on the trail and on to my bike. My zero stamina adds up to the difficult situation. The outcome was devastation. I was 'crawling' inch by inch at every undulation in that palm oil estate. And the very last effort back to the finish line almost emptied me.

Never underestimate things. Never take things for granted.

Honestly, when I woke up at 4.00 that morning for the rendezvous and travelling to Tanjung Malim, my mind simply can't digest the effort. It was kind of crazy. Logically, I should be waking up a bit later for the usual, or shall I say the 'newer'/modified kind of morning chores. Like morning breeze walking or neighbourhood cycling followed by family breakfast.

I think it is no more my kind of thing. My days have passed. At this era, I could use a different kind of useful things approaching my later years. Perhaps I had enough of rugged and adrenaline stuff. It is almost time to slow down the pace.

But, I will try my best to update the blog. Maybe different kind of activities and perspectives. But, cycling is still my passion, only is, the gentler kind of cycling for now.

  1. Hi Diket. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings on this matter. Everybody should be soul searching every quarter of their livelihood (corporate-ish-ly speaking) and to prioritise what is most priority and important (and you mentioned useful) for themselves and their loved ones.

Please do keep on writing and stay connected with the rest of the athlete bloggers as this is the medium where we all share a common passion which is to write and share our thoughts on topics obviously not restricted to sports.

Will be doing the same too (keep on writing)

    Cheerios and salam.

    1. Hi Julie. Thanks for the viewpoint. In shaa Allah live will continue to play along as long as the game is on.

Thanks for uplift. Will definitely continue to chant 'nonsense blogging' here. Salam.
