Oh my goodness! I've been away far too long and there was not a glitch of guilt across my heart for not updating this. Perhaps I've been busy? Sometimes. Or perhaps due to the absence of weekend warrior stuff. That should be the strongest reason.
I've been away from my bike for almost a month now. As schedules and plans dropped by each and every weekend, keeping me occupied for what seems like a switch of priorities now. Work plans, outstation, family matters and of course emergencies adds up to the colour.
I've been building 'muscle' mass from the absence, and walking up to the weight scale have been my greatest fear. This is the opposite of my previous weight gaining programme. Now it's about maintaining it and not gain any more. I can feel the surplus-ness, and it is not something I should be proud of. As a matter of fact, I felt lousy.
More sleep. More lazy. Body reacts to the slightest of climate change and food intake. Reacts negatively I mean. Heart rate jumble sporadically without any reason. It is so uncool.
I took my best effort to invest an hour everyday cycling leisurely. No, I don't chase the sweat and train hard like I used to. It is moderate now. Just enjoying the companionship of fellow newbies cycling between housing areas while chit chatting.
This coming Sunday completes the 4 weekends zero warrior stuff, which I don't plan to pursue further with the same manner for the coming week.
OK I did modify the work out a bit. Instead of the usual cycling stuff, I went hiking up Bukit Broga. With fellow neighbours and my kid, which have the best slower pace that I expected. Love coming back to the outdoor, I missed it.
At least it adds to the variety rather than stuck with the same cycling stuff. With more family plans coming up along the school break heading to the end of 2014, I don't plan for anything big but just to stay loose with maintenance exercise regularly.
